The “Shogawa Gorge Haiku Ginko-Kai” was held in Shogawa-cho, Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture. At this haiku gathering, our artistic director, Kiwa Hotta, and members of the local community enjoyed an enjoyable time of haiku together.
The theme was “cancer,” and it was a valuable opportunity to think deeply about life through haiku. Participants put their feelings and experiences into their haiku, expressing how they are coping with cancer, courage to live, and hope. Many people from the community participated in the event. We plan to hold this event regularly in the future.
